XR Association

XR and Education

XR technology is transforming the way people learn, offering new opportunities to make education more engaging, experiential, and accessible.

The XR Association and its members believe that immersive technology can support lifelong learning, improve outcomes, and help prepare learners for an increasingly digital and connected world.

As XR tools continue to evolve, so does their potential to enhance educational experiences across a range of environments—from K–12 classrooms and higher education to workforce training and upskilling programs. Members of the Education Working Group (EWG) are committed to advancing the responsible development and deployment of XR in educational settings by collaborating with educators, researchers, developers, and policymakers.

The EWG meets every other month to discuss opportunities and challenges related to the integration of XR in education, share best practices, identify policy and research gaps, and support the creation of immersive learning experiences that are safe, effective, and inclusive.
