Into the Digital World: XRA’s Guide to Immersive Technology
Intended as a primer for general audiences with limited background knowledge in XR, “Into the Digital World” follows a day in the life of Kayla, a medical student. In the first edition, through a series of vignettes, Kayla uses XR technology to enhance her educational experience as well as her daily routines. In the second edition, Kayla and XR users of different ages explore the various ways to use immersive technology safely and responsibly, touching on important user trust, safety, and privacy settings.
The visualizations in both chapters provide one of the industry’s first resources to demystify how XR technology functions and is used.
