Washington, D.C. -On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the XR Association hosted the second annual Demo on the Hill at the Rayburn House Office Building. This exclusive technology demonstration event allowed Members of Congress and their staff to try out XR devices, software, and experiences from XRA member companies Accenture, Cleanbox, HTC, Magic Leap, MediView XR, Meta, Mynd Immersive, Oberon Technologies, Qualcomm, Sony, and Transfr.
“The best way to understand immersive technology is to be in immersive technology. The opportunity to realize why sensory engagement, spatial understanding and real-time feedback afforded by XR is a difference maker when it comes to education, job training, healthcare, manufacturing, communication, and more is why events such as the XRA Demo on the Hill are so important. We are grateful to all that joined us!”
Elizabeth Hyman, CEO of the XR Association

“XRA was thrilled to bring the latest cutting-edge immersive technology directly to Members of Congress and staff at our third annual Hill Demo Day last week. As XR continues to take major steps forward in its development, it is essential that lawmakers understand its capabilities and its implications for industry, the workforce, essential human services, and the economy. Everything from healthcare to automotive manufacturing will be impacted by XR. Events like this one serve as catalysts for meaningful dialogue, paving the way for policies that support innovation and unlock the full potential of the technology.”
