XR ASSOCIATION TO HOST SECOND WEBINAR FOCUSED ON THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF YOUTH

Washington, D.C. – Join the XR Association for an insightful exploration of the intersection between immersive technology and youth safety and well-being. On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM EST, XRA’s Charting the Future of Immersive Technology series will feature its second webinar, “Safety and Well-Being for Youth.” Moderated by Stephanie Montgomery, Senior Vice President of Research and Best Practices at XRA, Montogomery will be joined by Tommy Truong, Chief Product Officer at EmergeNET, Michael Preston, Executive Director at Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, and Todd P. Chang, Vice Chair for Education, Department of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). 

The webinar will focus on the impact that immersive technology has on youth through education, healthcare, and entertainment. The webinar will discuss, and address, issues associated with the safety and well-being of XR users as well as the opportunities and challenges that face the tech ecosystem as we bring the next computing platform to life. Panelists will unpack issues such as teaching youth how to self-police in online spaces, balancing risks, role moderation, parental tools and guardrails and much more.
