New York, NY – On Thursday June 6, 2024, XRA’s Senior Manager of Research and Best Practices, Peirce Clark, and Jeanne Li, Product Manager at Unity Technologies, led a breakout session about XR in healthcare at the 6th annual XR Access Symposium in New York City, NY. The session focused on use cases and how improvements in immersive technology accessibility can enhance access to healthcare for patients.
The XR Access Symposium is an annual conference for leaders in industry, academia, and advocacy to come together and solve the most pressing problems in extended reality accessibility. This year’s focus was on Insights from XR Assistive Technology, exploring how learnings from technologies designed to assist disabled individuals can be applied to enhance accessibility in mainstream XR.
Hosted by Cornell University, this two-day conference took place on June 6-7, 2024, at the Verizon Executive Education Center on Cornell Tech’s campus, with sessions broadcasted online. Previous years have included presentations from industry titans such as Accenture, Meta, Microsoft, and Adobe, as well as cutting edge research from NYU, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia University, and many others.
