AR/VR POLICY CONFERENCE MARKS FIFTH ANNIVERSARY IN WASHINGTON
Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the XR Association (XRA) and the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) hosted the fifth annual AR/VR Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. The full-day event featured panel discussions on a range of issues, including U.S. and global perspectives on nurturing the immersive tech ecosystem, military training and operations with immersive technologies, the future of the virtual economy, the rise of wearable AI and its privacy implications, and the role of intelligent virtual characters in shaping immersive experiences.
This year’s event also featured a hands-on demo area highlighting the latest advancements in immersive technology. Demonstrations included applications from CareerViewXR, MediView, Meta, Qualcomm, Transfr, and VirtualWare.
