Last week, the XR Association (XRA) applauded the reintroduction of the Immersive Technology for the American Workforce Act of 2025 by Senators Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE) and Katie Britt (R-AL). The bill directs the Department of Labor to establish a competitive grant program supporting community colleges and career and technical education centers in implementing XR-based training programs that prepare students for in-demand jobs.

The legislation would authorize $50 million annually through 2035 to fund programs that integrate immersive technology into workforce training.

This bipartisan bill recognizes the pivotal role XR technology will play in ensuring that the American workforce is ready for the future of work.
