LEARN MORE ABOUT WEARABLE AI AND PRIVACY POLICIES AT THE 5TH ANNUAL AR/VR POLICY CONFERENCE

Washington, D.C. – XRA and the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) will host the 5th Annual AR/VR Policy Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This event brings together industry leaders, policymakers, academia, and researchers to explore the evolving policy landscape for immersive technologies.

This year’s agenda includes a featured panel, “The Rise of Wearable AI and Implications for Privacy Policy,” which will examine the convergence of artificial intelligence and augmented reality in emerging wearables like smart glasses, pins, and rings. As these devices capture sensitive biometric and environmental data, the panel will explore pressing questions around data ownership, digital autonomy, and whether current privacy frameworks are sufficient, or if new policy approaches are needed.
