SXSW 2025 PANEL EXPLORES THE FUTURE OF STORYTELLING AT THE INTERSECTION OF XR AND AI

AUSTIN, Texas — At SXSW 2025, Elizabeth Hyman, XRA CEO, led a thought-provoking discussion on how immersive technology (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI) are reshaping storytelling across entertainment, gaming, and immersive media.

The panel, titled “From A Galaxy Far Far Away to A Living Room Near You – Immersive Storytelling and the Intersection of XR & AI,” brought together leading voices in immersive technology:

  • John Gaeta, Academy Award winner and co-founder of ESCAPE.ai
  • John Monos, Academy Award winner and XR lead at Accenture Song
  • Greg Jones, Director of XR at NVIDIA

Together, the panelists explored how creators are using XR and AI to build compelling, interactive experiences that push the boundaries of traditional storytelling. From virtual production to spatial computing, the conversation highlighted how emerging tools are empowering developers and artists to create new worlds and connect with audiences in innovative ways.
