THE XR ASSOCIATION WELCOMES THREE NEW MEMBER COMPANIES: LAKESIDE METAVERSE, CODAZEN & LUCID REALITY LABS

New Members Join Growing Roster of Companies Leading in Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality

Washington, D.C. — The XR Association (XRA), the trade association representing the growing ecosystem of companies powering virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (XR), today announced the addition of three new member companies: Lakeside Metaverse, Codazen, and Lucid Reality Labs.

The newest members reflect the diversity of the immersive technology landscape, bringing forward cutting-edge solutions in education, healthcare, digital platform development, and training. Just recently, Lucid Reality Labs was named the Best Technical Achievement in AI, Immersive & Games at the 29th Annual Webby Awards Internet Celebration.

“We’re seeing AI and immersive technology rapidly converge across every sector, driven by the groundbreaking achievements of both our new and established member companies,” said Elizabeth Hyman, CEO of XRA. “Together, as organizations united by a vision to accelerate XR adoption and innovation, we’re thrilled to welcome our new members who will help amplify our collective strengths and push the boundaries of what’s possible.”

As the leading industry convener, XRA provides a collaborative platform for stakeholders to advance immersive tech through smart policy, responsible innovation, and public engagement. The new members will have opportunities to participate in XRA standards discussions, policy and advocacy initiatives, and industry events.

“Codazen joined XRA because the next era of the web will be immersive by default,” said Mike Merchant, President of Codazen. “By collaborating here, we help craft the standards that will let every browser—and every brand—step seamlessly into spatial experiences.”

XRA has worked closely with lawmakers to ensure XR is recognized as a significant, transformative technology and to develop governance standards that increase efficiency and responsible data practices. This March, Congress reintroduced the “United States Leadership in Immersive Technology Act of 2025,” which XRA and its members continue to support through meetings and Hill events.

“Lakeside Metaverse joined XRA to help shape the future of immersive technology through smart policy, strong industry standards, and unified advocacy,” said Lorenzo Vallone, President of Lakeside Metaverse. “As a leader in trauma-informed immersive education, we believe in the power of collaboration to ensure XR is safe, ethical, and accessible for all. Being part of XRA amplifies our voice in Washington and connects us with innovators driving responsible growth in our field.”
