XR ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES A SURVEY EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF IMMERSIVE TECHNOLOGY IN MANUFACTURING

Washington, D.C. – The XR Association, a leading trade association representing the growing ecosystem of augmented, mixed, and virtual reality companies, partnered with The RXN Group to launch the “Impact of Immersive Technology in Manufacturing” survey tailored for manufacturing decision makers to share their insights on the use and impact of XR technology in manufacturing. The survey explores executive and leadership perceptions on current use cases of XR technology in manufacturing and gauges the frequency of which manufacturers use XR technologies in their workflows and with their workforce.

The impact of XR technologies on the manufacturing industry is already underway, 92% of manufacturers are already experimenting with or implementing at least one metaverse-related use case, according to a 2023 study by Deloitte. XRA’s survey dives deeper to explore how this technology is viewed by leaders, where the most impact is expected, and how the workforce is impacted. As with all our surveys, XRA asks about challenges and barriers to deployments.

XRA invites decision makers within the manufacturing field to participate in this short, but important survey about their thoughts on the future of XR in manufacturing. Respondents’ answers will remain confidential, anonymous, and will not be asked for any personal information. The results will be aggregated with other survey responses.
