XR ASSOCIATION RELEASES SUMMARY REPORT ON SURVEY OF XR TEACHING AND LEARNING

Washington, D.C. – Today, the XR Association (XRA), the trade association representing the technology manufacturers that power the virtual, augmented, and mixed reality industries, released a summary report highlighting key findings from the “Insights from Teachers on the Future of XR in Education” survey. The survey was administered in partnership with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) to more than 1,400 high school teachers from all 50 states, to better understand the needs of educators within the XR industry.

“To get a good sense of XR’s potential in schools, you have to ask the teachers and staff who will be administering this technology. The survey’s results suggest that VR, AR, and MR technology is well-positioned to become an essential teaching tool in school classrooms across the country.”

Stephanie Montgomery, Senior Vice President of Research and Best Practices at the XR Association

Included in this summary report are takeaways from the “Insights from Teachers on the Future of XR in Education” released by XRA in December 2022, as well as additional context from survey research completed by ISTE and teachers interviewed by EKP Capitol to support and deepen the information in the infographic.
