
Washington, D.C. — The XR Association’s Senior Vice President of Research & Best Practices, Stephanie Montgomery, will participate in a panel discussion at the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) 2026 Annual Meeting and Training Symposium on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
The panel, titled “The Moving Goalposts of Cybersecurity of IoT,” will examine the evolving regulatory landscape for connected devices. Panelists will discuss the role of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cyber Trust Mark and the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act and Radio Equipment Directive mandated requirements, as well as how current and emerging standards intersect with these frameworks.
Montgomery will address the broader regulatory approaches shaping cybersecurity policy and their potential impact on the XR industry. She will also highlight advancements in immersive technology and share real-world use cases demonstrating how XR systems are being deployed across sectors.
The ICPHSO Annual Meeting and Training Symposium convenes the global product safety community to explore emerging risks, exchange best practices and strengthen cross-sector collaboration.
