XRA ANNOUNCES DATES FOR ANNUAL ALL-MEMBER MEETING AND XRA DEMO ON THE HILL
Washington, D.C. – The XR Association announced the dates for the annual All-Member Meeting and second Demo on the Hill. In previous years, XRA hosted the annual All-Member Meeting in advance of the Augmented World Expo in Santa Clara, CA. In 2024, XRA will move the All-Member Meeting to Washington, D.C., and align it with XRA’s second Demo on the Hill. Hosting these two important events simultaneously means that not only will there be a forum for networking and industry insight, but XRA will also provide an opportunity to meet with Members of Congress and staff on Capitol Hill.
XRA’s first Demo on the Hill in February 2023 allowed for Members of Congress and staffers to try out XR devices, software, and experiences from XRA member companies. Accenture, Big Rock Creative, Cleanbox, Cognixion, Elm Park Labs, Google, HTC, Meta, Mynd Immersive (formally MyndVR), Oberon Technologies, PIXO VR, Qualcomm, Taqtile, and Transfr showcased their experiences in healthcare, education, workforce development, and gaming to over 100+ attendees.
Last year’s All-Member Meeting featured opening remarks from XRA’s CEO, Elizabeth Hyman, and a keynote presentation from best-selling author and historical futurist, Steven Johnson. XRA’s Policy and Health & Inclusion Committees hosted guest speakers Walter Greenleaf, Ph.D., Brittan Heller, and Alex Feerst. The Committees discussed pressing topics in privacy, safety, healthcare, and education in immersive technology.
