XRA’s CEO, Liz Hyman had the privilege of being the first guest of the Workforce Leadership Institute (WLI) “lunch and learn” series. The WLI was created to elevate professional and strategic leadership in workforce development, with a primary focus on enhancing state and local efforts. Hyman joined WLI board member Ron Painter, former CEO of the National Association of Workforce Boards, for a wide-ranging discussion on how immersive technologies such as AR, VR, MR, digital twins and any technology that blends the virtual and physical worlds are increasingly becoming a “must have” in the world of workforce development (WFD).

Hyman emphasized that as the leaders the WLI represents consider how to ensure workforce development is designed to meet the 21st-century workplace, technologies that allow for safe, effective training that increase ROI and extend careers must be a focus of workforce development strategies.
