XRA CEO JOINS ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION HOSTED BY UNITED STATES COUNCIL FOR INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS (USCIB) FOUNDATION

Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, Elizabeth Hyman, CEO of the XR Association, participated in a roundtable discussion on, “Data Privacy for Immersive Technologies and the Metaverse.” The event was the second gathering of a series of three roundtable discussions co-hosted by Business at Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (BIAC) and the United States Council for International Business (USCIB) Foundation. 

These in-depth discussions are exploring the opportunities and impact of immersive technologies on data privacy. The roundtable was moderated by Steve Wood, former Deputy Commissioner to the UK Data Protection and Freedom of Information Regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Hyman was joined by a series of other leaders and experts for a rich conversation. XRA extends gratitude to Nicole Primmer, Paula Breuning, and Barbara Wanner, and the entire BIAC/USCIB team for hosting this series of roundtable discussions and contributing to the responsible advancement of XR technology.
