XRA CEO SHARES: FROM HEADSETS TO HUMAN-SCALE SYSTEMS, PART II: XR STILL NEEDS IMMERSION

Liz Hyman, CEO of the XR Association, recently highlighted that extended reality is no longer defined solely by headsets. Instead, she pointed to the emergence of human-scale systems that can sense, understand, and respond to the world in context.

Hyman added that a broader definition of XR does not diminish the role of virtual and mixed reality devices. When deep immersion is required, she said, those tools remain among the most powerful available.
