XRA MODERATES XR ACCESS SYMPOSIUM PANEL ON REALIZING INCLUSIVE VALUE

Liz Hyman, XRA CEO, recently moderated the 2021 XR Access Symposium Plenary session on “Realizing Inclusive Value,” where she was joined by Shane Kanady, Senior Fellow at G3ICT, George Karalis, Group Product Manager at Strivr, and Deb Mayers, Software Engineer.

The group discussed how to make accessibility in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality a smart and attractive investment for developers, manufacturers, customers, and others. Panelists recommended re-framing the business case for accessible XR to focus on the virtuous cycle of recognized value and greater inclusion, putting XR inclusion standards and guidelines in place, and including people with disabilities throughout the entire software development life cycle.
