XRA PARTICIPATES IN EU METAVERSE POLICY DISCUSSION HOSTED BY CENTER FOR DATA INNOVATION

On Tuesday, November 22nd, XRA’s Director of Public policy, Miranda Lutz, spoke on the panel, “How Should the EU Approach the Metaverse?” hosted by the Center for Data Innovation. Lutz addressed what policy issues EU policymakers should focus on in a possible metaverse initiative and highlighted the work XRA is doing to address these issues. She was joined by Sarah Andrew, Legal Director at Avaaz; Rehana Schwinninger-Ladak, DG CNECT at the European Commission, Dragos Tudorache, Member of the European Parliament at Renew; and moderator Patrick Grady, a Policy analyst at the Center for Data Innovation.
