Growth Points to Steady Enterprise Interest in Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality
Washington, D.C. — On Tuesday, August 16th, the XR Association (XRA), the trade association representing the growing ecosystem of companies powering virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (XR) announced eight new members.
The association’s new members include a prominent group of companies accomplishing incredible research and developments in the XR industry, including: Elm Park Labs, Genesys Impact, Immersive Worlds LLC, Mieron, Inc., Pearson, Schell Games, Taqtile and Strivr.
“We are grateful for and welcome all of our members as we come together to support the responsible development and thoughtful advancement of XR. Our members are anticipating the solutions XR presents in not only a consumer setting but in tangible industries like education, healthcare, and manufacturing,” said Liz Hyman, CEO of XRA. “We share our new members’ excitement about the limitless possibilities of XR technology.”
In line with XRA’s three core pillars – Community, Advocacy and Leadership – new members will have the unique opportunity to network and collaborate with industry colleagues and build relationships with new audiences. Members are also provided a forum to discuss the future of the industry, from public policy priorities and legislative implications to research showcasing points of entry.
“We have seen how the adoption of technology has transformed the ways in which people engage, learn, and work,” said Aneesh Kulkarni, CTO of Strivr. “Strivr’s enterprise VR platform has optimized and scaled VR-based learning for some of the largest companies in the world to elevate workforce performance. We look forward to collaborating with XRA and its fellow members to continue leading the advancement of the industry.”XRA, and its members, remain committed to the responsible development of XR as a leading voice in the industry. To expand on the learning and development opportunities in the space, XRA will host its Limitless Future Conference in November. Registration for the event is now open.
