Long Beach, CA – On June 10, 2025, XRA’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy, Joan O’Hara, will moderate a panel discussion at the 2025 Augmented World Expo in Long Beach, CA. The panel, titled “Policy Priorities for the U.S. XR Industry,” will explore the legislative and regulatory frameworks needed to drive innovation and maintain U.S. leadership in immersive technology. O’Hara will be joined by Brittan Heller, Lecturer at Stanford University, for this timely discussion on shaping the future of immersive technologies through thoughtful policymaking.
Panelists will discuss the recent reintroduction of the bipartisan United States Leadership in Immersive Technology Act of 2024, as well as the XR Association’s (XRA) call for the Trump administration to integrate XR into the nation’s artificial intelligence strategy. The conversation will also examine geopolitical competition with nations like China, South Korea, and the European Union, and the importance of governance, supply chain diversification, and investment in research and development.
