AI Expo

Washington, D.C. – On May 7, 2024, XRA’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy, Joan O’Hara, participated on a podcast at the Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) AI Expo for National Competitiveness. During the podcast, O’Hara discussed the role XR plays in the emerging technology ecosystem, including how XR and AI are impacting one another’s development and potential and how XR will impact the economy. O’Hara also drew from XRA’s white paper, “Reality Check: Why the U.S. Government Should Nurture XR Development,” discussing how the U.S. compares to allies and adversaries in advancing XR in government and public services, how other countries are planning ahead and laying the groundwork for the next generation of computing, and what the U.S. government should be doing to ensure America strengthens its competitive edge and remains the global technology leader.
