New York City, NY – On Thursday, June 15, XRA CEO, Elizabeth Hyman, moderated a main stage panel discussion at the XR Access Symposium in New York City, NY. This 1.5-day conference featured expert speakers on artificial intelligence, haptics, industrial design, and XR to discuss how technological advancements are making XR more accessible for people with disabilities. The discussion, titled “Empowering the Workforce through Accessible XR,” explored the importance of creating inclusive immersive experiences to enhance professional settings and promote professional equity. During this session, panelists delved into inclusive design principles important to XR accessibility, and shared use cases of how organizations are implementing accessible XR solutions in the workforce. Panelists included Joel Ward (Booz Allen Hamilton), Corinne Weible (The Cadmus Group), and Christian Vogler (Gallaudet University).
