LIZ HYMAN PARTICIPATES IN HOUSE REALITY CAUCUS/MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY CAUCUS EVENT

On Friday, July 16th, 2021, XRA CEO Liz Hyman participated in a virtual congressional briefing on the use of immersive technologies in health care during the COVID-19 pandemic, hosted by the House Reality Caucus in partnership with the Medical Technology Caucus. U.S. Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (D-WA), chair of both the Reality and MedTech caucuses, provided opening remarks, followed by a panel discussion including XRA’s CEO Liz Hyman, Dr. Todd Chang, Director of Research & Scholarship at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Nanome CEO Steven McCloskey, and Dr. Keith Mortman, Chief of Thoracic Surgery at GW Hospital. Panelists discussed the incredible advances around COVID care and XR technology, and the continued work that needs to be done to further improve XR for medical education and treatment.
