Washington, D.C. — The XR Association (XRA), the trade association representing the growing ecosystem of companies powering virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (XR), today announced that six companies have joined its membership this year: RP1, Select Reality Development, Xander Glasses, Lakeside Metaverse, Codazen, and Lucid Reality Labs.
These companies represent the breadth of opportunities within the immersive technology landscape and highlight the limitless potential of the industry. From accessibility and training to immersive solutions and a metaverse browser, XRA is thrilled to represent companies driving such innovation.
“We are proud to support these organizations and the greater immersive technology landscape,” said Elizabeth Hyman, CEO of XRA. “It is amazing to see the applications of XR technology continue to develop, and we remain committed to promoting responsible industry advancement that prioritizes safety, accessibility, and positive impact through continued collaboration and community engagement.”
XRA has worked closely with lawmakers to ensure XR is recognized as a significant, transformative technology and to develop governance standards that increase efficiency and responsible data practices. This March, Congress reintroduced the “United States Leadership in Immersive Technology Act of 2025,” which XRA and its members continue to support through meetings and Hill events.
Throughout the year, XRA and its member companies promoted the viability of XR’s advancement through advocacy and visibility, and its growing membership attests to its successful influence in the industry. Immersive technology’s unlimited potential is being increasingly recognized by lawmakers, as seen in both the Senate and House’s versions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). XRA is pleased to welcome these six organizations to its community to continue advancing its mission.
“The XR Association plays a crucial role in uniting industry and government around open standards for immersive technology,” said Sean Mann, CEO and Co-Founder at RP1. “RP1 is excited to join XRA at this pivotal moment as we begin development on the world’s first native proximity-based 3D browser built from the ground up to make XR scalable, interoperable, and device agnostic. Together, we can help shape the foundation of an open ecosystem where governments, enterprises, and individuals can build, host, and own their XR services on their own infrastructure, just as they do with today’s web.”
