THIS WEEK: XRA’S DEMO ON THE HILL AND ALL-MEMBER MEETING

Washington, D.C. – This week, the XR Association is hosting two important events in Washington, D.C.: the second annual Demo on the Hill and XRA’s annual All-Member Meeting. Hosting these two notable events simultaneously means that not only will there be a forum for networking and industry insight, but XRA will also be providing opportunities for XRA members to meet with Members of Congress and staff on Capitol Hill.

This two-day event kicks off on Tuesday, April 16, with meetings on Capitol Hill with Members of Congress and their staff, providing an opportunity for XRA members to highlight the importance of their technologies and applications. By facilitating these meetings, XRA is empowering its members to advocate for policies that support the growth and development of the XR industry.

Later that day, XRA will be hosting the second annual “Demo on the Hill” at the Rayburn House Office Building. XRA’s Demo on the Hill is an exclusive, immersive technology demonstration event for Members of Congress and their staff, allowing attendees to try out XR devices, softwares, and experiences. Demo experiences will be provided by Accenture, Cleanbox, HTC Vive, Magic Leap, MediView XR, Meta, Mynd Immersive, Oberon Technologies, Qualcomm, Sony, and Transfr

On Wednesday, April 17, XRA will host its annual All-Member Meeting. This half-day event presents a unique opportunity for members to come together, exchange ideas, and chart the course for the future of XR technology. XRA’s Policy and Health & Inclusion Committees will host guest speakers from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). After a day of engaging conversation and networking, XRA’s All-Member Meeting will conclude with a dinner reception in the heart of Washington, D.C.

In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, events like these play a pivotal role in shaping the path of the XR industry. By bringing together industry leaders, developers, innovators, and policymakers, the XR Association is not only driving dialogue but also taking the lead in forging a future where immersive technologies set the stage as the next computing platform.
