Demo on the Hill: On Wednesday, February 8, XRA will host our first ever Demo on Capitol Hill. This is an exclusive demonstration event for Members of Congress and their staff from 4pm to 7pm. The event will allow attendees to try out XR devices, software, and experiences from XRA member companies Accenture, Big Rock Creative, Cleanbox, Elm Park Labs, Google, HTC, Meta, MyndVR, Oberon Technologies, PIXO VR, Qualcomm, Sony, Taqtile, and Transfr. XRA intends for this to be the first of many demo opportunities on the Hill.
SXSW 2023: On Sunday, March 12, 2023, XRA will be attending SXSW in Austin, Texas, where XRA’s CEO Liz Hyman will moderate the panel, “Watercooler to Headset? The Future of Workplaces.” Hyman will be joined by speakers Bill Curtis-Davidson, Co-Director of the Partnership on Employment and Accessible Technology, Meryl Evans, Accessibility Consultant, and Daniel O’Brien, Global Head of Enterprise at HTC. Panelists will discuss the road ahead for the future of work, where everyone can thrive and contribute to a mightier economic future.
Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2023: XRA will host the second annual All-Member Meeting in Santa Clara on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in advance of the Augmented World Expo (AWE) beginning May 31. The All-Member meeting is a half-day in-person event that brings together XRA member company representatives to hear from a leading speaker in the XR space, collaborate on current XRA projects, and provide input on association goals for the next 5 years. XRA will also have a demo booth at AWE. Please stop by and say hello!
