XRA'S SVP OF POLICY, JOAN O'HARA, ENGAGES WITH UK GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND PARTICIPATES AT THE ECONOMIST IMPACT ENTERPRISE METAVERSE SUMMIT

London, England – This past week, XRA’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy, Joan O’Hara, made the trip across the pond to participate in the Economist Impact Enterprise Metaverse Summit in London. O’Hara’s panel, “Imagining a society beyond smartphones: are we really looking at an augmented-reality future?,” focused on practical considerations around AR/VR adoption on a mass scale.

While in London, O’Hara met with the UK government agencies driving XR innovation and policy development including the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), Ofcom (the UK Office of Communications), and Digital Catapult. Not only was this an opportunity to introduce the XR Association to agencies in the UK, but each engagement also yielded actionable items for collaboration with British partners going forward.
