Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021 – XRA’s Liz Hyman was featured in an article by The Well News (TWN), Experts Say XR Tech Is More Than Gaming and Entertainment, focused on the webinar, “More Than Gaming: How Governments, Businesses, and Individuals are Using Immersive Technologies” hosted by XRA and the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC). The panel of speakers included Carlos Gutierrez, Deputy Director & General Counsel at LGBT Tech; Dave Vasko, Senior Director for Advanced Technology at Rockwell Automation; Jonathan Beam, Program Manager at US Ignite; Tamara Owens, PH.D., Director of the Simulation & Clinical Skills Center at Howard University; and XRA’s CEO, Liz Hyman.

“There is an application and adoption beyond that which most people default to right away, consumer use and gaming,” XR Association CEO Liz Hyman shared with the Bipartisan Policy Center, a D.C.-based think tank discussing the use of immersive technology and the policy challenges and opportunities XR brings.

“It is a game-changer across many aspects of our economy,” she said, citing uses especially in human resource management such as training and upscaling employees and finding and securing quality talent, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

“Eighty-one percent of HR professionals use XR as a critical tool for learning and development outcomes,” Hyman said.
