|

Washington, D.C. – On February 28, 2023, XR Access and the XR Association hosted a Haptics Community Discussion as part of the XR Community Discussion Series. The discussion focused on how haptic technology can improve accessibility in immersive environments. The event featured presentations from Bob Crockett, Co-founder of HaptX, and Ashely Huffman, an executive at TITAN Haptics.

The virtual gathering convened over 80 attendees, including software designers, hardware manufacturers, accessibility experts, and academics. Participants shared research articles and introduced best practices for haptic technology. Together, they explored accessibility with haptics and brainstormed future use cases that could benefit disabled communities.
