XR ASSOCIATION NAMES LAURA CHADWICK SENIOR DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRY RELATIONS

AN INDUSTRY-WIDE COLLABORATION FOR BETTER XR

XR ASSOCIATION NAMES LAURA CHADWICK SENIOR DIRECTOR OF INDUSTRY RELATIONS

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the XR Association (XRA), the trade association representing the technology manufacturers that power the virtual, augmented, and mixed reality industries, named Laura Chadwick its Senior Director of Industry Relations.

Chadwick joins XRA from the National Restaurant Association, where she served as the Director of Corporate Member Engagement. In that capacity, she developed programs for national restaurant brand executives on topics such as technology, innovation, tax, and finance. Chadwick further served as a federal lobbyist for the association’s government affairs department.

“We are thrilled to have Laura join the team at such a critical time for both XRA and the broader XR industry,” said XRA CEO Liz Hyman. “I look forward to working with Laura to expand our research function, build our catalogue of industry-leading best practices, grow our member engagement and industry relations efforts, and continue building awareness of the crucial cross-sector applications of XR technology.”

Chadwick’s hire builds on a successful 2019 for XRA, which last summer brought on an inaugural executive leader and expanded into the AR space with the addition of Microsoft to its membership. With more than 15 years’ experience in association management, industry relations, and government affairs for leading trade associations, Chadwick is well-positioned to help promote the responsible development and thoughtful advancement of XR technology.

Chadwick holds a bachelor’s degree in politics from Washington & Lee University and a Master of Public Administration from American University’s School of Public Affairs.
