XRA provides a forum for industry networking and collaboration to assist in your XR product and services’ development and success.

XRA’s Health & Inclusion (“H&I”) Committee brings together member company representatives focused on the responsible development and thoughtful advancement of XR headsets, peripherals, and software. The expertise and knowledge of members involved in safety engineering, standards compliance, or product counsel are essential to the success of the H&I Committee and its important work on behalf of the XR industry.

XRA’s Policy Committee brings together member company representatives to focus on the public policy challenges and opportunities associated with XR technologies. The Policy Committee identifies business critical topics for the industry’s engagement with policymakers and pursues thought leadership opportunities. The Policy Committee works to draft legislative proposals and develop policy positions to support the responsible development of XR technology. Members of the Policy Committee are Government Relations, Legal, and Strategy experts interested in shaping the objectives and crafting the strategies to achieve XRA’s public policy goals.

XRA’s Communications (“Comms”) Committee brings together member company representatives to promote XRA’s mission to guide the responsible development and adoption of XR technology through external communications and media channels. Members of the Comms Committee are communications professionals at XRA’s member companies. Together, the committee directs efforts to publicize XRA’s work to industry, policymakers, and other key stakeholder audiences in the XR ecosystem.

Take part in the development of XR industry resources and research to XRA’s Accessibility Working Group (“AWG”) brings together member company representatives to examine, discuss and develop resources to support the use of XR technologies by the greatest number of users, including those living with a disability. Those who have expertise and knowledge in accessible product engineering, inclusive design or as a product counsel are crucial to the advancement of the AWG goals.

XRA’s Education Working Group (“EWG”) brings together member company representatives focused on the responsible development of XR technologies in academic settings. The group will guide future research on and craft a best practice guide for educational uses of XR. Participants of this group are involved in XR education, product safety or design, or otherwise have an interest in XR for education.

XRA’s Standards Working Group (“SWG”) brings together member company representatives to monitor and contribute to domestic and international standardization efforts for VR, AR and MR technologies. This includes collaborating with standards developing organizations such as UL, CTA, IEEE, and ISO/IEC/JTC 1. Members’ knowledge and skills in product safety, engineering and design, and standards compliance, are vital to the success of the SWG mission.

The Developers Council is a dedicated group for the XR Association’s enterprise solution provider associate member category. This council gathers to collaborate and network on resources and events to support the growth of enterprise solution providers’ businesses and the XR industry as a whole.

XRA’s Healthcare Working Group (“HWG”) brings together member company representatives focused on the responsible development of XR technologies in healthcare settings. The group will guide future research on and craft a best practice guide XR use in healthcare. Participants of this group are involved in XR healthcare, product safety or design, or otherwise have an interest in XR in healthcare.
