Washington, D.C. – Join the XR Association for an insightful exploration of the intersection between immersive technology and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the workplace. On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM EST, XRA’s Charting the Future of Immersive Technology series will feature its fourth webinar, “Respect and Diversity in the Workplace.” Moderated by Elizabeth Hyman, CEO of the XR Association, Hyman will be joined by Carlos Gutierrez (LGBT Tech), Dylan Fox (XR Access), and Heather Shen (Praxis Labs). Together, they will discuss the transformative potential of immersive technologies to break down barriers in the workplace and promote more diverse and accessible environments.
Throughout the session, attendees will gain valuable insights into how XR can empower underrepresented communities by creating immersive training programs, virtual workspaces, and communication platforms that prioritize equity and accessibility. The panel will also address specific use cases where immersive technology is helping to foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity, such as providing accessible onboarding experiences for individuals with disabilities, promoting empathy through immersive DEI training, and supporting LGBTQ+ employees through virtual safe spaces.
