XRA CEO ADDRESSES XR'S ROLE IN TRADE POLICY AT THE ECONOMIST'S "GLOBAL TRADE WEEK 2022" CONFERENCE

Washington, D.C. — On Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, Liz Hyman, CEO of the XR Association, participated in a panel discussion at The Economist’s Global Trade Week 2022 in London. The panel, “How should trade agreements incorporate the adoption of new technologies whilst also ensuring they enhance human welfare?” addressed XR’s role in trade policy. Attendees heard Hyman and others speak on why and how emerging technologies should be included in digital trade agreements. 

Hyman was joined by Nicholas Bramble, Senior Counsel at Google, and Javier Lopez Gonzalez, Senior Trade Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, in a panel moderated by Susan Ariel Aaronson from the George Washington University.
