Washington, D.C. — On Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 the XR Association (XRA), the trade association representing the growing ecosystem of companies powering virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (XR) announced ten new members.
The association brought on several prominent member companies, including:
Penumbra, Inc, Big Rock Creative, Cleanbox Technology, Great Lakes Reality Labs, LNG Studios, MyndVR, Oberon Technologies, Inc., Paracosma, PIXO VR and Uvisan.
There are a growing number of use-cases that tout the benefits of XR, including changing the pediatric hospital experience for the better, helping HBCUs educate students, and assisting companies of all sizes in training and up-skilling employees. These new members are a testament to XR’s increasing role in positively changing the way people live, work and learn.
“It’s exciting to see continuous growth in our membership,” said Liz Hyman, CEO of the XR Association. “It means more organizations understand the business case for leveraging XR technology and the value an industry association provides to amplify a company’s vision. Through our members’ diverse sets of expertise, we look forward to collaborating and advancing XRA’s mission of promoting the responsible adoption of XR technology.”
As members, the companies will engage with the XRA’s three pillars: Community, Leadership and Advocacy. Additionally, members have the unique opportunity to network and collaborate with colleagues, build relationships with new audiences and engage in a platform to discuss the future of the industry concerning public policy and legislative implications.
