Plymouth, MI – The XR Association’s Transforming Healthcare with Immersive Technology workshop is being held on August 8 hosted at Elm Park Labs‘ facilities in Plymouth, Michigan. The event brings together players in the healthcare and XR industry to explore the latest advancements in immersive technologies and address the widespread adoption of XR in healthcare.
This one-day workshop includes remarks from Rep. Debbie Dingell (MI-06), presentations from Hoag Hospital and The Wiel Institute at Michigan Medical on their use of XR technology and a deep dive into Medical Training and Education from Virti. The event also includes tours of Elm Park Labs, and CCSPerfusion’s virtual operating rooms.
Those unable to join in person are welcome to join virtually for an afternoon of active discussion in three topical sessions to discuss advancing clinical outcomes, telehealth and inclusion, and treating cognitive impairment guided by MediView, Veterans Affairs, and Stanford respectively. These sessions will be followed by a presentation on regulation and challenges by Medical Device Regulatory Solutions MDRS, LLC and a presentation on operational challenges for small business by Cleanbox.
